Instructions for E-Poster Presenters

E-Poster Viewing

Abstracts allocated for E-Poster Viewing will be available in the e-poster gallery of the ESPID 2020Meeting App and via the virtual platform. There is no dedicated time  for presenting them.

ESPID 2020 participants can view e-posters at any time during and after the Meeting for up to 3 months and may contact the presenters directly via the virtual platform, for questions and further discussions. 

Prepare your e-poster

Please submit your e-poster as a 1-page .PPTX file in landscape orientation
If you wish, you may use a template that can be downloaded  HERE 

  • Language: All E-Posters should be prepared in English. 
  • File format: pptx 
    • E-Poster orientation:landscape  
    • File size: Less than 10 MB 
    • Hyperlinks, animated images, animations, and videos are not permitted for ePosters and will be non-functioning. 
    • QR Codes can be included. 

When saving your.PPTX file please make sure there are no symbols or characters (i.e. +/-) in the file name. There should be only letters or numbers in the file name. 

E-Poster Discussion – Live

E-poster discussion presenters are requested to:

  1. Upload their e-posters for viewing in the e-poster gallery

Upload your 1-page .pptx e-poster, which will be added to the ESPID 2020 e-poster gallery (in .pdf) for viewing, together with a 3-5 minutes MP3 recording to go along with their e-poster for viewing and a personal URL for further discussions. While uploading your e-poster via the provided link, you are not requested to add the disclosure slide, it should be added to the live presentation only.

2. Prepare their e-poster file for presenting Live

For your live e-Poster discussion presentation you need to prepare your .pptx file consisting of 1 Disclosure slide and 1 e-poster slide.

Presenters will take turns with their cameras on and sharing their screen with 5 minutes for presenting their e-poster and 2 minutes for questions from the audience. If there is time, remaining after all presentations have finished, then all presenters will turn their cameras on to answer questions coming from the audience.

In compliance with CME/CPD requirements, presenters are requested to complete a conflict of interest form and to have the disclosure as a first slide of their live presentation. Please click here to download a disclosure slide.

To ensure that none of the presenters will have issues with turning the camera on, sharing the screen with their PowerPoint presentations, and presenting Live, E-poster discussion presenters have been invited to a technical briefing, to become familiar with the virtual platform, set for the session,

Record MP3 audio file to go along with your e-poster in the gallery

*Please note that you should NOT save the MP3 file name with any characters or symbols, please use standard text only.

Raise your hand” during session

During the live E-Poster Discussion Session, a participant will be able to click on the “raise your hand” feature to be unmuted by the chair and share to ask questions or state conclusions aloud for speakers and audience to hear.

Networking opportunities for e-poster presenters

  • Participants will be able to chat with the e-poster presenter in the e-poster gallery.
  • E-Poster presenters are requested to include a URL, linking to their own personal or institutional e-meeting room (such as Zoom), and add their planned availability so that they may meet with other delegates over a video call. The URL and presenter availability are visible inside the personal e-poster area.
  • Group chat channels may be found in the networking lounge for each abstract topic where participants and presenters can join a public dialogue.

Proprietary

By uploading your e-poster, you are agreeing to have it published on the ESPID 2020 virtual platform for the duration of 3 months following the meeting. If you are not willing to share the presentation for 3 months on the platform, please inform the secretariat by 24 October 2020 for your presentation to be removed after 29 October 2020.

ESPID enforces a strict zero-tolerance for illegal copying of content presented via the virtual ESPID 2020 Meeting platform. Presenters are encouraged to clearly indicate in their presentations that the content presented shall not be shared or copied. 
Presenters are strongly encouraged to clearly indicate whether or not photography/recording of the poster, presentation, and sharing/remixing of the material is permitted.  To aid in this process, a digital graphic image may be incorporated in the poster. The images are available here.
