Language

The official language of the Meeting will be English. All abstract submissions and presentations should be in English.​​​

Visa Information

Most Europeans do not require a​n entry visa for the Netherlands. Please consult the Netherlands Embassy or Cons​​ulate nearest you for specific details relating to visas.​​

Letter of Invitation

An official personalised letter of invitation will be provided to registered participants as part of the registration procedure. A link to generate your personalised letter is on the registration confirmation page and e-mail. This invitation is prepared solely for the purpose of visa applications and is not a commitment on the part of the organisers to provide any financial support or confirmation of inclusion in the Scientific Program. Invitation letters can be provided electronically (PDF) or as a hard copy if required.  Hard copies will be mailed via regular post free of charge. In case of special delivery (courier) request, the participant will be responsible for all charges.

De Doelen is easily accessible for visitors with mobility difficulties and accessibility needs. The venue noticeably meet the VGR guidelines (association of disabled organizations in Rotterdam) for accessibility and perceived accessibility for people with a disability. Accessibility is an important precondition for making cultural experience possible for people with a disability.

Liability and Insurance

The Meeting Secretariat and Organisers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of/damage to private property of participants. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

Attendance Tracking

ESPID will be collecting attendance data during the Meeting using RFID tracking technology to understand participation patterns, improve the meeting, and develop new services for the delegates.

After the Meeting, you will be sent a link that will provide you with your ESPID 2020 attendance data. Thank you for your participation.

Agent for Participants and Sponsors

As Organizers of the congress 38th Annual Meeting of the European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases taking place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands from 26th to 29th October we entrust TWT srl, to collect the applications from pharmaceutical companies (participating as sponsors or exhibitors) for the Italian Ministry of Health agency (Agenzia Italiana del Farmaco AIFA) procedure, in compliance with the instructions given by the Legislative Order 219 of the 24th april 2006 – art. 124.

Guest Attendance Policy

All event activities (including educational sessions, meal functions, exhibit hall, etc.) are exclusively reserved for registered attendees. Non-registered persons (including family members, colleagues, etc.) will not be permitted in any of the event areas. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.

ESPID supports working parents who wish to attend the Meeting with their young children, and will provide family friendly facilities at the Annual Meeting for nursing mothers, child care during the Meeting Programme days (upon request). The young children will need to be registered with the special category during the registration process.
